Each year, as Passover is ending, we find ourselves with so leftover much K for P junk food! This year, we threw it all in one mix and created a Passover Leftovers Snack Mix. The combination was fantastic!

Ingredients:

  • One 6 oz. box of fruit cereal
  • One 6 oz. box of honey nut or chocolate cereal
  • One box of matzo crackers, broken
  • ½ box of matzo or chocolate covered matzo
  • 1-2 canisters of chocolate chip or chocolate macaroons
  • One 12 oz. bag of chocolate chips
  • One 9 oz. box of dark chocolate jelly rings
  • One 8 oz. box of candied fruit slices
  • 1-2 packages of seasonal candy, nuts or dried fruit

How to cook Passover Leftovers Snack Mix

  1. Open contents of all ingredients.
  2. In an oversized clean rectangle food storage plastic container, 1.5 gallon or larger, begin to assemble the ingredients almost like a lasagna.
  3. First, pour an even layer of the cereal, crackers and the matzo. Combine together.
  4. Layer the macaroons, chocolate chips, jelly rings, fruit slices and seasonal candy.
  5. Mix carefully by hand all of the ingredients.
  6. Using a large plastic cup, disseminate ingredients into goodie bags or smaller containers.

Notes:

• Get creative, adjust the ingredients to suit your personal taste! Try different cereal, cookies, yogurt covered raisins, pastel coated almonds, and nuts. Note, the smaller items will fall to the bottom, so add the candy last.
• If you have dietary concerns, you can easily adjust this recipe for allergies, vegan or gluten free restrictions, just watch out for all of the labels. • The Passover Leftovers Snack Mix makes approximately two-three 64 oz. large food storage plastic containers, depending on your selections.
• Use clear 6x9 treat bags tied with blue ribbon for parties. • Store at room temperature in an airtight container for up to a month.
